Kaitlyn Seikunas, MA, LPCC
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn. After transitioning from a career as a hairstylist, I returned to school to become a mental health counselor. I work with preteens, teens, and adults navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, gender and sexual identity exploration, and life transitions. I know how hard it can be to ask for help, but I firmly believe that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to process their struggles and grow. My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapeutic methods, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, art therapy techniques, and a person-centered framework.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to valuing multiculturalism and individuality. Each client brings their own life experiences and values that shape their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Drawing from Bronfenbrenner’s bioecological model, I recognize the profound influence of relationships, cultural norms, and societal factors on your well-being. By understanding these layers, we can work together to make meaningful connections and foster personal growth.
I’m here to support you as you navigate your challenges, offering a safe and compassionate space to help you work through difficulties and make progress toward positive change.

Therapeutic approaches
Person-Centered Approach: This therapeutic approach lets you take the lead in guiding our conversations, recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. I’m here to support you, providing a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
Mindfulness/Positive Psychology: Incorporating mindfulness techniques and positive psychology principles to help you build resilience, increase self-awareness, and foster a more positive outlook on life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A structured, goal-oriented approach that helps identify and challenge negative thought patterns, enabling you to develop healthier coping strategies.
Narrative Therapy: Encouraging you to reframe and rewrite your personal story, empowering you to create a new narrative that aligns with your values and goals.
Art Therapy Techniques: This approach can be especially helpful on days when you may not feel like talking. It incorporates creative expression as a tool for emotional exploration, self-discovery, and healing, offering an alternative for those who find it challenging to express themselves through words alone.
Solution-Focused Therapy: A brief, goal-oriented approach that helps you identify solutions and strengths, empowering you to move forward and make meaningful changes in your life. This approach can benefit individuals seeking a more time-efficient therapeutic process.
